âWhy are you calling me about this?â I asked, speaking to my sister Friday afternoon.
âIâm worried about you. I just think that this seems to have similarities to Ellen...â She hesitated. âIâm sure itâs bringing back memories. I want you to know Iâm here for you.â
âI havenât seen the news reports.â I lied. âOther people have drowned since Ellen. I donât even know who this girl was.â
âShe was a woman, Henriâa young woman, but a woman. She was last seen almost six months ago, around the time of Ellenâs death at the Cliffs.â
âAre you saying sheâs connected to Ellenâs death? Do you think she had something to do with it? Remember, Iâd left. Was this young womanâ âI emphasized my sisterâs descriptionâ ânear Ellen?â
âShe wasnât a member,â Ash said. âHer name was Scarlett. She worked there.â
I leaned back in my office chair as Ashleigh continued to describe Scarlett. As she spoke, I recalled all the things my sister didnât know, things no one knew, no one but Richard and me. I remembered the panic in her eyes when she realized she was captive. At first, she believed it was a joke or an elaborate misunderstanding.
Sheâd even laughed it off, until she didnât.
Ashleigh knew the information the news reports said. They didnât know about her strawberry-shaped birthmark on her left ass cheek or the scar around her right ankle where sheâd been chained for the first month of her captivity. They didnât know the time weâd dedicated to make Scarlett amenable to our plans.
Eventually, Scarlett came to her senses and, in doing so, gained her freedom from the shackle, but not from the suite. Privileges worked in a similar way to punishments. Pavlov was onto something.
Would the coroner be able to determine the cause of the scar on her ankle or others?
Richard was certain sheâd had broken ribs after she first became our guest. We didnât get confirmationâas she wasnât tended to by a physicianâand with time, they too healed. Each step along the way was a necessary evil.
My lips curled.
Sadly, it was Scarlettâs eventual compliance that caused me to lose interest.
The fight sheâd had was gone. Her spark fizzled. Yes, Scarlett followed the rules; she willingly fell to her knees and sucked me or spread her legs and took me wherever I desired. However, not even the prompt of punishment would elicit a visceral response.
Iâd read a story once about a man who would chain animals outside, just out of reach of food and water. At first, the dogs would bark. Until they didnât, until they accepted their fate.
Scarlett had reached that point.
She no longer asked for anything or complained about anything. Even the balcony that had at one time been her reward was no longer a form of motivation.
Granted, the timing of my discontent was unfortunate, being before the holiday weekend.
I hadnât given that as much thought as getting rid of her. I could have spent another week or month with my cock in her mouthâor done as the man in the story did and stop feeding her.
