Life Returns was such a worthless commodity that Universal passed on reissuing the movie in 1938 and sold it outright to Scienart Pictures, which subsequently watched its investment go straight down the bunghole.

With less genre interest and fewer professional touches than the Francis, the Talking Mule series, Life Returns is a cheerless obscurity better left lying fallow in an unmarked grave.
