And what about the leader of the pride?

Lee’s gorgeous, brooding smile flashes in my mind and I feel another twinge of guilt at the thought of those silver-grey piercingly intense eyes. He’s been on my thoughts ever since that brief meeting in the hallway. If they really have told him, then what does he think of me now?

My heart jumps when I hear a soft knock at the door. For a moment, I’m frozen, not knowing whether I should answer it or not, and then I’m moving to my feet on instinct to the sound of the second knock.

When I open the door I literally can’t believe my own eyes…

Think of the Devil and, well, the Devil appears…

Lee is as cool as ever as he stands above me, so utterly ripped in his t-shirt and scrubs that it knocks the breath right out of me. He’s got a facemask on and it takes me a few seconds of seriously furtive anxiety to try to decode the meaning in his eyes.
