When Hunter arrived home with the clear light of dawn, he found Brandon tucking clean sheets around the mattress of the sofa-bed with obsessive precision. There was a conspicuous pile of Brandon's most essential belongings on the coffee table: work shoes, laptop, comb.

"Hey, dude," Hunter said, frowning, "What are you doing?"

"Bobby's dead," Brandon replied, tugging at the sheet aggressively. Hunter couldn't ignore the sense of déjà vu.

"He’s dead again, huh?"

"In my room."

"What?"

"Bobby is dead in my room. It's sick. I'm not going in there."

There was a weird tremor in Brandon's voice and he wouldn't meet Hunter's eyes.

Brandon’s delusions had little effect on Hunter now.
