While Martinez was interviewing Glenn, the crime-scene team finished up, and the ME’s crew put the body into a body bag and carted it away in the meat wagon. Martinez then left the crime scene and decided to visit Barth’s employer AAA Limo before heading back to the Homicide office at PBSO HQ on Gun Club Road. While in her vehicle she dialed the last number Barth had called at 1:30 a.m., the same number that had called him at 2:30 a.m.

The call went to voice mail after two rings. A female voice said, “Hi, baby, you’ve reached Tanya. Leave a message.” The speaker sounded young and black, and her voice had a sexy tone to it. Martinez figured Tanya was a “lady of the evening,” as she liked to refer to hookers. People like David W. Barth used these services a lot. Martinez was just hoping that this was not why he was murdered. Then again, it would make her job of clearing the case much easier. Now she had to ID and locate “Tanya.” When she arrived at AAA Limo headquarters she interviewed owner Mal Thomas and dispatcher Heather Winters who could not add anything to what Ted Glenn had told her about the late David W. Barth.
