Tom checked the chrono before sinking back onto his bed. He had another hour to go before the next mission briefing. After pulling an overtime shift on the bridge, a quick nap was just what he needed.

At first, Tom considered making an excuse to rush back to his quarters. Something about Meera kept him there, almost hypnotized by the gleam in her pale yellow eyes. He’d never considered that he’d been attracted to Meera before, despite her obvious physical charms—he was still wrapping his mind around the whole futa thing.
