Chapter 12 - Fiona Turns it On

The Yoga Studio was full again. Maya shot Maud a look. "I thought there were to be just twenty this morning. This is ‘by invitation only’ still, isn't it?"

"Umm," Fiona spoke up. "Some invited guests invited guests."

"Do we have enough crystals, enough chocolate?" Maya asked.

"Chocolate, yes. Crystals, I don't think so." Fiona looked around at the room filled with gossiping women and clapped her hands to get their attention. As they turned towards her, she noticed that many were already wearing crystals. The word must have gotten around. Perhaps they would have enough after all.

They ran the class much the same as the day before. The results were disappointing. Maya sensed no new auras. More than disappointing, because she sensed a psychopath. She kept it to herself until her part in the class was complete and she had to leave.

"I don't want her involved in any way," Maya was adamant to Maud. "She could be another of Samantha's black coven, or a spy for Sir Nigel, or she could be just a bitch, but not around me. She is never to be around me, never around here, never around your house."

"Calm down Maya. I understand and agree completely. Uh, we, I mean, you could always cure her."

Angelica was holding the clothes hanger while Maya put on her business suit . "We still have lots of sugar packets in the safe. Invite her for coffee at the manor, Maud. Even better, for high tea. Maya will be back from the interviews by then."

Maya sighed. She was being pulled in all directions by everyone around her. "Okay, I'll do it, but after she is drugged someone else has to question her first, before the cure, to find out what she is really up to. And someone else has to watch her and nurse her afterwards to make sure she is okay."

"We've lots of help at the manor now, dear," said Maud. "If you are willing to cure her, then we will do everything else."

Maya was late getting to the interview room, but only by a minute. "Traffic," she explained. She had a shock when she went to welcome and bring in the first applicant of the day. It was William, the yummy senior she had tried to seduce while she was living in Windsor. One of the school's 'gifted' students. The first psycho she had ever cured.

"Still with Daniel?" She whispered the question. She had cured him so she could have an affair with him. Once cured he foiled her by coming out of the closet.

He nodded and smiled. God, he was gorgeous. She still wanted him. Sigh. It was a pleasure just to hold his hand so she was slow to lead him into the interview room. As they walked together into the interview room she looked up and saw the expectant look on Sir
