The Hookup

Shari, you can’t be serious! Oh, but I am said Shari, as she looked over her shoulder. Allen and I just came from Dr. Shark’s office. She’s good, right. Now I know why my husband has been driving me cray-cray. Well, what I got out of my session, was that Allen is a psychopath. Before I met him, he was in juvie for burning down his parents’ house. I don’t know who he is anymore. Come over when Carl gets off, we’ll figure this out.

Hey, Jackie, I was just about to call you. Really, what for? Just to see if you wanted to come over. I got a lot of free time on my hands now. My husband’s at work. Give me your address and I’ll be right over. I’ll be waiting, said Jackson.

Helllooo, is anybody home? It’s me! Your best friend Melissa. You guys want to come over for a few drinks, she asked Fred and Thomas? I just met this guy at…… Listen Melissa, we are in the middle of delivering kittens! We don’t have time for your socializing. Thanks, but no thanks. I gotta go, said Thomas. Well, goodness gracious, ed-gy! Hey Mel, this is Jackie. Hey, you’re still coming right? Of course, I’m just down the street. I stopped at the grocery store for a lighter. Okay, I’ll be here.

Jackie, you made it. Boy, do I have a story to tell you. Please let me start, said Jackson. I preferred you call me Jackie because, when I have enough money, I’m going to have a sex change operation. I’m not comfortable with who I am right now. To each his own, Melissa said. If that’s what you want, I’m all for it too. So, guess what? Jackie smiled, and replied, What Mel? My best friend Shari, we call her Shar, just called me and told me she wanted to kill her husband. I was like, what the hell? It hasn’t been a whole year yet, and she wants out. I mean…Mel, can I trust you? Of course, we’re friends. I don’t think it’s crazy she wants to kill her husband. I killed my father, but I told my therapist he had a heart attack, she has no idea he’s dead. Shut the front door! Replied Melissa. I couldn’t take it anymore. He was verbally and physically abusive. I don’t think I would have ever gotten any respect from him. I don’t think I should have to change for anyone! You’re right, Jackie. So, if Shari is serious about killing her husband, have her call me. She’s supposed to be coming over when she gets off of work. You can either stay or come back. I don’t live too far from here, but if it’s no problem, I’ll stay. No, not at all. Do you smoke Melissa? No, why? I brought. “God’s gift to the world. Come again. Weed! You never smoked weed before? No way. Well, there’s a first time for everything. Two minutes after lighting up, Melissa had no idea what she was saying.
