Danny knew he wasn’t up for sex, not with his leg wound throbbing the way it was, but felt compelled to ask, “Are you a top or a bottom?”

Locke spluttered, which was cute, and very un-Locke like. “I didn’t mean we should have full on intercourse. I meant kissing and cuddling.”

“You’re a cuddler?” Danny had a hard time wrapping his head around that one.

“I’d like to become one with you.”

Danny smiled against Locke’s stomach. “Want to watch a movie and cuddle on the bed with me?”

“Yeah, that sounds great.”

“And if you’re nice to me then I might let you kiss me again.”

Locke chuckled. “Deal,” he said and took out the ponytail holder in Danny’s hair. Locke feathered his fingers through it while tilting Danny’s head up. Locke bent down slightly and kissed Danny on the forehead first and then on the lips. Danny had to pull back, letting go of Locke so that the angle would be better. They fit so well, just like Danny knew they would. There was something about Locke that just made Danny hold on to him even when Locke had tried to shake him off.

Locke moved his head to the side and deepened the kiss, tasting him. Danny let him take over, giving him control this one time.

Locke broke the kiss. “You were going to teach me how to cuddle. First though, are you hungry? I got us sandwiches.”

“Yeah. Eating first would be a good idea,”

Locke let him go and Danny stood to follow him over.

“Just stay on the bed. I’ll bring it to you.”

Danny nodded and sat back down on his bed, leaning against the headboard. He watched Locke pull out two submarine sandwiches and some extra napkins. “I wasn’t sure what you liked.”

“This’ll be great.” Danny didn’t realize just how hungry he was until he took the first bite. He ate it so quickly Locke wasn’t even half done with his own sandwich yet. Locke held out his sandwich for Danny, but Danny shook his head. “That’s very sweet, but I’m full, babe. Hey, you never answered my question.”

Locke swallowed the bite in his mouth. “Which question was that?”

“Are you a top or bottom? Neither? Both?”

“Why are you asking that now?”

“The first and only time I tried to have a relationship—until you, of course—we... ah... weren’t compatible in the sexual department. I figured I’d find out now.”

“He wasn’t worth trying new things?” Locke asked and wadded up his paper and napkin.

“We make better friends anyway.”

“What about me?”

“Oh, I definitely don’t think we make better friends. And yeah, I’d try something new if it meant making you happy,” Danny said and gathered up his trash. Locke took it from him and walked over to the wastebasket.

Locke came back to the bed, sitting next him. “I like anal sex. I’m fairly versatile, but I like to bottom more.”

Danny pulled him closer until Locke was plastered to his side. “So cuddling 101. We have to be so close we’re almost on top of each other.”

Locke laid his head against Danny’s chest.
