“This feels like the longest three hours of my life” Lizzy murmured as they walked to Sam’s truck. “What should we do?” Sam asked. “Are you hungry at all?” Lizzy wrinkled her nose at the idea of food. She didn’t think her stomach could handle it right now even if she was hungry. Sam drove around for a few minutes unsure of what she should do. Finally Sam pulled into the parking lot of a busy children’s park. She found a parking space in the back of the lot under a huge shade tree away from the heavy park traffic. Sam reached and unhooked Lizzy’s seat belt motioning her to slide over. Sam put her arm around Lizzy and held her tight and close. Sam kissed her on the forehead and they settled in to wait.
