Chapter 15

Bethy

I wanted to know who he was and now that I did I should have been screaming that there was a monster in my room. Honestly, I should be looking for a way to escape. The man killed people.

Like ended their lives and went home like he just took a walk in the park for fresh air. All these things and yet they changed nothing I wouldn't be begging for my life I sure in fuck wasn’t going to run screaming into the night.

“Bethy?”

I could barely hear him. His whispers almost fearful. Looking at him I see the fear of losing me and I break. Pressing my lips to his I kiss him with every speck of love I have for him.

“I love you.”

I needed him to hear and feel the words. I needed him to know I loved him despite it all.

“Behty..”

“I love you Lark.”

Pulling myself closer to him I press my chest to his. The feel of his warm skin against mine had heat rushing through my blood. I wanted him again.

“We can't Bethy.”

“I need you close again, please.”

“No you can’t handle another round Darlin.”

Pulling back, I look into his eyes, they said exactly what I hoped they wouldn’t. He wasn’t giving in on this. A small part of me agreed with him.

But this other part wanted more and was more than willing to push. Slipping my fingers down his chest I come within inches of his hard cock.

His hand wrapped around my wrist halting any further exploration. His other hand slipped between my thighs. One finger slipped inside me and pain blinded me.

A scream ripped from my throat. Even though he removed his finger, tears slipped down my cheeks.

“Please Amoruccio.”

“What does it mean?”

“I just wanted to be close to you.”

I wanted him to hold me to comfort me with the same hands, he takes life from so many others. His hands slip under my ass, pulling me into him.

My knees on either side of his hips as my butt rested on his thighs. Wrapping my arms around his neck I press my lips to his throat.

His hands caressed my back gently soothing my frayed emotions. Pressing into him I let him hold my weight.

“Will you tell me more about what you do?”

“Bethy..”

“Please Lark.”

“What do you want to know?”

That was a good question. How much do I want to know? Everything? Something? Most of it?

“Do you like it?”

“Yes.”

I wasn’t expecting that and yet I was. I'm so confused.

“I kill for a living Bethy that’s what I do. I enjoy it.”

“Will you tell me about them?”

“My marks?”

“Yes.”

He hesitated and for a long, breathless moment I thought he would deny me this. I wanted nothing between us no lies and no secrets.

“I killed a man since I’ve been here. Not long after we met.”

I waited for him to continue as much as I think he waited for me to get all freaked out. Instead of saying anything I wait it out.

“It was requested I make it messy.
