Sophie laughed. “I’m going to fall right on my face again.”

I grinned at her. “Probably. You’re terrible at skiing.”

Sophie laughed harder and adjusted her goggles. “Fuck you, Aiden.”

“Right here?” I glanced over my shoulder at all the other skiers on the snowy mountain. “I think society frowns on fucking in public, but I’m down if you want to.”

“Is it safe to say that you’re pretty much always DTF?” Sophie bit her lip and looked down at her skis, probably wondering if she was in the right position. She wasn’t.

“DTF?” I asked.

“Down to fuck.”

I laughed out loud. “Yes.” Then I pointed to her skis. “French fry, baby.”

Sophie groaned and moved her legs into a better skiing position. “I’m so sore!”

I was proud of that little fact, even though only half of her soreness was from me. The other half was from Sophie falling on her ass in the snow a hundred times.

“Ready?” I asked.

“I guess.”

I wasn’t the world’s best skier by any means, but I’d been at least three times more often than Sophie. I sailed down the slope and whipped around at the bottom to watch Soph. I laughed when I saw that she’d switched her skis to the pizza formation. She looked adorable.

Sophie made it to the bottom of the hill without falling and screamed, “I did it! Whoo!” And then she fell on her ass.

I laughed and collapsed next to her in the snow. She was laughing, too. I pulled off my helmet and pushed my goggles up, followed by Sophie’s, and smiled down at her.

Sophie tugged off her gloves and looped her arms around my neck. “Kiss me, baby.”

She didn’t have to ask twice. I leaned down and pressed my lips to her cold, smiling ones. “Let’s go back to our room and get that jetted tub going, yeah? Then we can head over to that little Christmas village that we saw on the way up.”

“Mmm… that sounds perfect, babe.”
