I try to keep my eyes off Kingsley, but it’s so hard when he’s just right there.

On stage.

Whilst I have to work.

I have to sit in the theatre’s auditorium and watch the man who I once fell for hard stand there and perform for nearly three hours. Has there been a more heart-breaking situation for someone to be put under? I seriously doubt it.

I try to scan the audience for any phone lights going off, to spot anyone trying to take prohibited photos, but I can’t resist shooting a glance back to the stage. At Kingsley.

Being this close to him – watching him work - makes me want to leave this job, but I can’t. That’s the annoying thing. This is the one job I’ve somehow managed to secure here in London and I can’t afford to lose it. Not now when I have to start paying rent to Grace.

India is on the other side of the auditorium. She’s not been friendly to me at all, despite my constant attempts to be smiley towards her.

Kingsley strolls across the stage delivering a monologue. He’s a talented actor, there’s absolutely no doubt. He’s got such a smooth voice that makes my heart soar. He has such a command of the stage like a true pro. Despite how pissed off I am at him, I just want to melt in his gaze. Every move he makes reminds me of that night when he came to my house and fucked me in my bedroom and called me his good girl. It’s a night I can’t forget.

It’s pretty horny to see someone have so much unbridled passion for what they do. To be so goddamn talented. It’s seductive and is a major freaking turn-on.

But why does it have to be him?

Of course, the moment I came home from the press party I jumped onto my computer and googled that man like a possessed stalker. It’s good that he’s a celebrity because there’s so much information to find out about him available right there on the net. Even stuff about his personal life. It seems like the British tabloids love digging up dirt on the actor, and I’m their eager customer. There are articles about him going on dates with supermodels. Olympian athletes. It seems like he’s slept through most of the famous women under the age of thirty in the UK. It made me sick thinking of all those gorgeous women he’s had.

And then there’s me. The nerdy and socially inept American girl.

The article that sticks in my mind was one about him and his co-star on stage. Penelope Jellis. The one who scoffed at me in the bathroom at the party. Oh, I remember her vividly. There was a photo of them together leaving a hotel after a day of interviews. The article gushed about them.
