Lovely Oatmeal Bread

Ingredients:

¾ cup water, at 80°F to 90°F
2 tablespoons melted butter, cooled
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
¾ cup quick oats
1½ cups white bread flour
1 teaspoon bread machine or instant yeast
12 slices / 1½ pounds
1⅛ cups water, at 80°F to 90°F
3 tablespoons melted butter, cooled
3 tablespoons sugar
1½ teaspoons salt
1 cup quick oats
2¼ cups white bread flour
1½ teaspoons bread machine or instant yeast
16 slices / 2 pounds
1½ cups water, at 80°F to 90°F
¼ cup melted butter, cooled
¼ cup sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1½ cups quick oats
3 cups white bread flour
2 teaspoons bread machine or instant yeast
Directions:
Place the ingredients in your bread machine as recommended by the manufacturer.
Program the machine for Basic/White bread, select light or medium crust, and press Start.
When the loaf is done, remove the bucket from the machine.
Let the loaf cool for 5 minutes.
Gently shake the bucket to remove the loaf, and turn it out onto a rack to cool.
Ingredient tip: Do not substitute large flake oats for the quick oats in this recipe or the texture will be wrong in your finished bread. Quick oats are chopped up so they absorb liquids easier and cook faster.
