I was a bundle of nerves for the rest of the night and woke up the same. I want this, with Sketch, but I can’t help being a nervous wreck. Aria, Harper, and Elena left for the clubhouse twenty minutes ago and Sketch should be here any minute. I’m pacing the living room, trying to stay busy when the ringing of the doorbell stops me in my place. I stare at the front door for a beat before moving to open it.

“Hey, Little Bird.” Sketch grins that sexy grin of his, sending butterflies soaring. A fresh white t-shirt stretches across his chest, paired with grey sweats and crisp white Adidas. I bite my bottom lip. When I bring my eyes back to his, he’s got an eyebrow cocked.

“Hey.” I smirk. “Come on in.” I step back, allowing him to walk inside. I closed the door behind him and follow him into the living room. He has his hair down. It’s ruffled from constantly running his fingers through it.

“I have some news,” he says.

My heart leaps into my throat and I sit on the couch. “What’s up?”

“Next Friday, we’re having a party at the clubhouse. An official celebration for the Savage Menaces MC New Orleans Chapter.” He sits next to me. “And Saturday, I leave to go back to Texas. I’d really like for you to come back with me. Either way, I have to go.”

“If I go with you, what does that mean for us?”

“What do you want it to mean?” When I don’t answer right away, he grabs my hand, linking his fingers in mine. “Wren, you’ve had me since I met you in A Novel Bunch all those months ago. I kept my distance as best I could, knowing you had a boyfriend. This past month, spending as much time with you as I have, it’s only made me want you more. I know you haven’t been split from Zack for long, but I want you. All of you.”

My cheeks hurt from how big I’m smiling. “You mean it?”

“I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t, Little Bird.”

“I want you too, Sketch.”

“Come back to Texas with me. Be my Ol’ Lady."

The thought of becoming his Ol’ Lady both terrifies me and excites me. When I first learned about Shade being involved with an MC, I wanted nothing to do with it. Then I got to know some of the women in the club. They’re some of the greatest friends ever. Once I met Sketch, I wanted to come around more. Aside from Sienna, he’s my best friend. Which is weird, because he’s also my brother’s best friend. It somehow works for us, though.

I lean into him, giving him a quick kiss on the lips. “I’d like that a lot.”

He delves his hand into my hair, crashing his lips onto mine. I climb onto his lap without breaking our kiss, deepening the kiss and Sketch’s grip on my hair tightens enough to heighten my arousal. I sigh into his mouth and move my hips, grinding against him.
