Chapter 11:

Hailey

I wake up tangled up in Parker. His leg is thrown over my thighs, his arms are wrapped around me, holding me close to his chest, and his chin is resting on top of my head. It’s like he’s trying to shield me from every bad thing, and I admit, I kind of love it.

I press a hand to his chest, marveling at the hard muscle underneath. The man must spend a lot of time at the gym. I kiss his chest and continue to feel my way down his torso, memorizing every muscle along the way. I make my way down to the hem of his shirt and slip my hand under, ghosting my fingers over his perfectly sculpted abs.

How can this Greek god of a man possibly find me attractive? I feel the muscles underneath my fingers flex and a low rumbling noise comes out of Parker’s mouth.

“Mmmhmm… you feel so good, sunshine. Love waking up to your touch.”

In a bold move, I run my hand lower, reaching for the growing bulge beneath his shorts. Parker’s hand lightly grabs my wrist to stop my motion.

“Don’t start something you can’t finish, sweetheart.”

“Who says I can’t finish?”

He’s on me in a flash and before I know what’s happening, he has me on my back, straddling me with my wrists held above my head.

“Fuck, Hailey. You’re making it hard for me to control myself.” He clenches his jaw and shuts his eyes. When he opens his eyes again, there’s no denying the way he looks at me. It’s a hungry look.

“Jesus, seeing you laid out like this gets me so fucking hard. I have to have a taste, baby. You’re like every one of my wet dreams come true.”

He leans into me, but I stop him.

“Wait!” Parker freezes immediately and then backs off.

“Shit, sorry, sunshine, I got carried awa-“

“No, I want to keep going. I just want to see you first.”

The fire returns to his eyes and he grins at me before reaching behind his back and pulling his shirt over his head.

He leans down again, this time placing he hands on either side of me head. I reach out and touch his shoulders, slowly dragging my hands down his chest, ribs, abs. I trace the tattoos I didn’t expect to see covering half of his chest and down one bicep, ending just above his elbow.

“Do you like them?”

“Yeah… they’re really fucking sexy,” I say, continuing my exploration.

He chuckles. “You’re really fucking sexy.”

I slide my hands up his gorgeous body and around his neck, pulling him in for a kiss. Parker doesn’t miss a beat. He consumes me in a desperate kiss and I get lost in the way his tongue wraps around mine before exploring every inch of my mouth. He swallows my moans before breaking the kiss and trailing his lips down my neck and nibbling on my pulse point.

He leans back and repositions himself between my legs. I instinctively jerk my hips forward, but he puts his hands on my hips to stop the motion.
