Chapter Eight
Lacey
Liam and I had gone out for our first lunch meeting with Milly but he’d checked his phone at least four times. He’d demanded a letter when I’d been at his house a week ago, but I’d scribbled hearts and flowers and not much else. After that, I had stuffed the letter into an envelope but instead of putting it on his desk in plain sight, it was buried somewhere in his home office. I was having a hard time of my own focusing at work since I’d been consumed with guilt but he was distracted and it concerned me. “Is there something wrong?”
“I’m exceptionally sorry, but there is an urgent matter at work. We can make this up next week, right?” Liam nodded to the two of us as he got to his feet and I noticed how dark his eyes were.
“We can grab the food to go,” I offered. I’m not sitting here with her. I hoped my eyes flashed what my brain stated.
“Have them wrap mine and bring it back to the office.” Liam directed his statement at me. “The two of you should stay.”
“We should just cancel this meeting.” I feigned politeness when I’d really wanted to glare a hole through his stomach. “We only put in the order a little while ago and I rode here with you.”
“I can bring you back to the office, Lacey. It’s not a big deal,” Milly replied with saccharine sweetness. “We can use this time to discuss our individual agendas with each other and collaborate.”
“Sure, that’s an idea I didn’t think of.” I excused myself from the table. “Be right back.” I wrote up a great agenda but there wasn’t time to present it to Liam so it would wait until next week.
Something else irritated me. I’d rather eat my own foot than sit with Milly. I strode over to the individual bathroom while I tried to think of any silver lining to this situation, but an arm caught the edge of the door as I attempted to close it. “Hey! This is a bathroom.”
“I didn’t pick the venue, love. You did.” Liam chuckled though nothing was funny. He pushed his way inside then locked the door behind us. He had picked a mid-grade restaurant so the restroom had a cozy ambience with an ornate sink, large wing chair, and small vanity with a bench seat. Our gazes settled on it at the same time.
“Oh, no,” I protested. “You can’t do that in here.” I gripped his arm with meaning. He couldn’t possibly consider spanking me in the restroom.
“Oh, but I can.”
“We’re technically at work.”
“Then you should act more professional, right?”
“Liam.”
“Lacey.”
“Fuck.”
“We don’t have the time or the room for that.” He pointed to the bench. “Go on.”
“Yes, Sir,” I bent so my head was down, and my ass popped up. His hand trailed along the back of my thighs, and then he flipped the hem of my dress up. Crap. I hadn’t expected that. My panties were tugged down to my thighs, and then one of his fingers drummed against the plug inside my tightest hole.
