MATTEO

“This is your idea of letting off steam? Taking me to your torture chamber?” I scoff, trying hard not to sniff in the horrendous odor floating through the murky air. Gio suggested I clear my head from all the bullshit by having a guys outing. I want nothing more than to curl up next to Emma, breathing in her intoxicating scent after I’ve fucked her into oblivion.

“Quit being a baby. When I’m ramped up, I come here. Pounding in someone’s face, particularly the lowlife scum, always cheers me up.” He quips, pounding his palm against my back. Marco snickers from behind me but stops when I glare daggers at him.

“The fact that someone hasn’t died from the smell alone is a win.” I mutter, shaking my head. A few questionable people linger in the corner. One emerges from the shadows with a shit-eating grin on his face.

“Giovanni Capinelli. Lovely to see you here tonight. I’m itching for a good fight.” He hisses, cracking his knuckles. Gio rolls his shoulders with the slightest smirk.

“Your brother didn’t learn his lesson last time?”

“That’s why I’m here. You mess with him, you mess with me.”

Gio, unfazed, only chuckles. “You think you’re strong enough to fight me? I ought to just give you to my friend here and save my energy for a better opponent. The man sneers, sparing a glance at me before back at Gio. “I can take you both with my eyes closed.” I roll my eyes, becoming increasingly agitated with this dick head not to mention the smell is giving me a migraine.

Gio and the man go at it with a few more words before I lose my patience. He doesn’t see it coming. With the rage I feel inside bottled up combined with a whiny asshole, I see red. I charge ramming into his side, knocking him to the ground with a thud. I straddle him and punch the shit out of him until he’s knocked out cold.

Heaving, I jump off him and swipe at my clothes with my hands before I turn to look at Gio and Marco. “Feel better?” Marco chirps with a smirk.

I clear my throat and roll my neck. “A little. Now let’s get the fuck outta here. I’ve got better things to do.”
