Tasiyana looked over at the proposal and check for all accuracy. She was nervous she would be presenting this proposal to William who had a critical eye. The lessons she learned from him where priceless but at the same time intimated her. He challenged her and made her look at things differently. He taught her critical thinking and looking outside of the box. He had a reason for his yes and his no to certain situations. It had been the most intense month of training under his expertise. When she walked in and clocked into Kronos she was employee and he treated her as such. She put it neatly in a portfolio and looked it over.

She stood up straightening her blazer; her hair was pulled into a neat ponytail. She took a deep breath and walked over to his office. William door was closed and she could hear the radio playing and could hear him singing. He had a voice that would make many Rnb male singers bow down. It was times when he would sing at church service he would bring a room to tears and every performance was standing ovations.

"Come in." He was typing and looked up under his glasses. It had been years since she seen him wear them.

"Hi, I made the corrections and I think the proposal is ready." She handed it over and he put it on the table. He took off his glasses and put it the tip of it in his mouth.

"Don't ever walked in my office handing me a proposal telling me 'you think it's ready'. You want me to approve this project and within those thirty seconds you just told me that Tasiyana Middleton doesn't believe enough in this proposal or herself. That isn't just me but anyone who you are trying to convince on saying yes about what you want in business." He took the proposal and tossed it his to do later bin. She felt her heart sink, her eyes welling up with tears but she took a deep breath because showing any emotion would show that he hurt her feelings. She turned away from him and he called out her name.

"Tasiyana, close the door and have a seat." She followed his instructions and he opened his refrigerator taking out two bottles of water. He slid one to her.

"Do you know why I said what I said to you?" She pulled on her blazer and spoke softly,

"No." He looked her into her eyes and inhaled.

"I hired you because I believe in your ability to handle the position I offered you. I've observed you for a month and here is where the problem comes in. You don't have the same belief in your work. You second-guess your abilities and if I didn't know you on a personal level would make me do the same. You’re asking me to invest in a program you'll be running and yet you don't believe in this proposal. I'm saying that you need show me that you believe in yourself.
