CHAPTER 8

River

Every part of me freezes as the gun is lifted higher and higher toward me. I take a step back, scared. I know he wants to hurt me, kill me.

He drops his gun. “On second thought, I might keep you for myself since Gage is so wrapped in your pussy. Maybe I need to see it for myself.”

A gun goes off and I start to cover my face thinking that it’s him that is shooting at me but he starts screaming at the top of his lungs.

I watch in slow motion as he falls to the ground screaming, holding his knee.

Gage walks into view, holding a gun in his hand. He looks at me standing here in my towel, shaking from what just happened.

I can tell all sense of rationality is out the window as he looks at the gun in the prospect’s hand. Gage lifts his own gun, pointing it at his hand pulling the trigger.

One shot.

Two.

Three.

Until his hand is a complete and utter mess, pouring out blood, bones are exposed.

“Shut the fuck up, pussy. I warned you and now I am going to have to kill you for looking at what’s mine and threatening her.” Gage steps on his face, turning the guy’s face away from me so he is not looking at me.

Gage walks over to me and hands me my clothes. “Get dressed, baby.” He puts his hand on my face for a second, before walking out of the bathroom shutting the door behind him.

A second later I hear bloodcurdling screams.
