Holy fuck!

I had turned into a freaking bomb.

My rage ripped out of me as I stared at the boys kneeling before the fountain, Ceres standing behind them, his hands on their necks in a way that was clearly painful. Well, at least for Killian. He screamed at the touch, his face contorted in pain as he shook and fell back down to the ground. That scream was all it took for whatever super-bomb power I had inside of me to explode.

Everything shook as flames of the purest white raged over my skin, licking and fanning into the air as though I had been covered in Kerosene. Explosive Kerosene that exploded with the loudest damn bang I had ever heard! Even I jumped, Callay screamed some foreign profanity behind me and rushed from the room as the stone house around me ripped apart. I watched it happen in slow motion, watched the wooden walls of Killian's room splinter and break, watched the glass shatter, watched the rock behind it crack.

I was sure the entire thing was terrifying. Even if I could run from whatever I was becoming, I wouldn't. Well, unless it was to take me there, to that fountain and the two men that I was about to save.

"Leave the hard stuff to the girls," I smirked and let the white flame grow, my phoenix bursting from me in a blast larger than I had ever seen.

The flames of my soul wrapped around me, my bones twisting into the massive bird as the last of the stone and wood around me exploded into shards and rubble, leaving me open to the sky, free to swoop down to my mates, and to Dabria who was still staring at me in slack-jawed horror.

Ready to burn, bitch? I taunted as I took off into the air, streaming right toward the fountain in a ball of red and yellow flames, burning feathers trailing behind.

A scream ripped from my throat as I bee-lined right for them. All the rage, and panic, and fear that my Phoenix had felt over the last few days released in one scream of warning that sent everyone scattering like ants, desperate to escape the bomb that was racing right for them.

Everyone on the fountain stared as I landed, as my Phoenix fell away and I uncoiled to stand on the edge of the fountain. Covered in ash, and completely naked.

Again.

I was beginning to feel as though I could conjure some clothes if I could figure out how, the magic that was bursting through my veins was strong enough to do so. I could feel the power buzz over the screams of the Dragons behind me, feel it run over my skin as I stared at the dead-eyed vampire who had yet to look away, and felt the strength reach an apex.

Magic buzzed through my eyes, pressing against my skin and slowing my heart as I felt time slow, and everyone around me pulled to a stop as though they had been put on pause.
