With caliper measurements, I never take age into account. But in reality, as you get older, you start to collect extra essential fat around your organs. While this doesn’t change how you look, it would increase the bodyfat percentage reading you get from a DEXA scan or a hydrostatic bodyfat measurement.
According to the American Council on Exercise Bodyfat Percentage Chart, after age 20, men are going to add about 1% of internal fat every five years and women are going to add about 2% of internal bodyfat every five years.
