“Ok, Evie, we’re going to work with Air and Water elements tonight because they’re easier to handle than Fire and Earth. Plus, they’re less likely to do any harm.”

I am about to agree when Kylan bursts into laughter next to me.

“What’s so funny?” I’m looking at him waiting for an answer, when I hear Dane and Teddy start laughing too.

I start to get irritated when Mike says, “Shut up all of you. Not a word.”

Kylan laughs harder before turning to me and controlling himself enough to say “We’re laughing because Mike saying Air is easier to control is funny, seeing as the first time he tested his full powers he somehow formed a tornado around himself. When he finally got control of his powers enough to get rid of the tornado, he was still standing there. Naked. His own tornado whipped all his clothes off,” and with that they are all laughing again.

I look up at Mike and try not to laugh when Mike points a finger at me, “Don’t.”

I can’t help it, I giggle.

“Ok. fine everyone wants to laugh. Maybe I should tell Evie some more embarrassing moments of your powers too.” The other guys all sober instantly.

“You wouldn’t” Dane is looking a bit scared and I can’t help laughing.

“Yes, tell me. I need to know so it will make it less embarrassing for me,” I smile around at the other boys.

Mike smiles over at me before looking back at Dane. “Ok, I won’t reveal anyone’s secrets. I’ll leave it for you to tell her. Let’s start trying your elements.”
