Chapter 1

This is a true story of what happened between my best friends wife and I while living and working in the Far East. Only the names have been changed for obvious reasons. Dee was a really nice girl who was having issues with her husband Luke my best friend and had called me after a massive row.

At the time, I was 39 and always been fit and healthy, looked after myself physically and into health and nutrition. I'd recently been divorced and my ex wife was still living in the UK but I'd moved to Thailand to get away from all the bad memories and stuff and start a new life. I had a sort of long term Thai girlfriend, but we'd also just had a big break up over money and her crazy spending habits so I'd moved out a week previously. I was staying at a small apartment on a month to month basis and working for an American recruitment company that had an office in Thailand. Now Dee was the wife of Luke of whom had also moved to Thailand from the UK, we set up base in Kho Samui, a beautiful tropical island in the South of Thailand as we were both working for the same company.

So this is what happened ...

I was sitting at a waterfront restaurant one evening overlooking the ocean with a German friend, when I received a very emotional phone call from Dee. She had walked out after a massive row and had nowhere to go and didn’t know what to do.
