Connor thought he could actually hear the thoughts bouncing around in her head as she planned her untimely escape from the evil bastard’s castle. He had to grin. She apparently had been getting away with too much for too long and needed a strong hand to rein her in. Well, he had one, and she was going to have a sore butt for a day or two. He had also been serious about how dangerous it was to play chicken with a red light in a busy intersection. He hoped he’d made his point.

When he felt that she had settled down he said, “How about if we throw some spaghetti on to boil and put the bread in the oven? The sauce and meatballs are ready and there’s a salad in the fridge. What do you say?” When she didn’t answer him he continued, “Are you going to pout now? If you are, let me know when you’re done so we can eat.”

“I’m not pouting. I’m mad at you. You had no right to do that.”

“I had every right and a duty as the Dom. You earned that spanking through your own carelessness. I protect what’s mine. You are mine for as long as we have a relationship. If I have to protect you from yourself, I will. Just for fun, why don’t we check your driving record after dinner? Want to do that, Emma?”

“No, Sir.”

“I didn’t think so. How many tickets do you have anyway?”

“Not many.”

“One is too many. I think you just made my point for me.” He hugged her again. “Let’s let this go for now and talk about your training program. What do you say?”

“I have to think about it.”

“Don’t make me think about whether you need a touch up, sub.” He laughed. “Let’s go. I’m hungry.” He stood up with her still in his arms. “I think we’re going to have a great time together, subbie.” He put her down then took her hand. He kissed her forehead, smacked her butt, and started toward the kitchen.

“Ouch!” She pulled back for a minute and then just gave in. “Oh, all right. I can see you are going to be difficult.”

“Not nearly as difficult as you, but I’m up to the challenge.”
