I began again by lighting a red pillar candle, and then a black one from the flame of the red candle. I glanced down at my altar and noticed how the flame cast a seductive shadow that danced across my bare breasts.

I said the incantation, this time as a command more than a simple summoning.

Nothing happened. I tried again, adding more to enticed the demon to come to me at last. This was a challenge I wasn’t willing to lose. "Lilith! Lady of the night, lover of those who dwell in the shadows, come to me! Take my flesh as your own. Use my body for whatever you will. I command thee! Come now and show me the pleasures that I know you have given to countless others before! How dare you deny a witch as powerful as I? Take me now! Take me to be the first woman who has known your demonic touch! As your earthly master I command of thee, oh mistress of darkness. Show yourself to me! Come now, at once, when I call upon thee! Take me now and show me the pleasures of the night!"

A wind blew through my room once again, just as it had during my previous attempt a month ago. This time, however, the flames that danced atop the candles were extinguished by a single draft of wind. I could hear the windows rattling behind me and I turned to see the same glowing presence floating above my bed.

“What is this? How dare you disturb me once more,” the same voice from a month before bellowed through my room. “What is the meaning of this insult? Woman, why have you summoned me once more?”

“I have summoned you to me, great demon Lilith, so that I may know and experience the sexual powers that you possess.” I moved closer to the bed, where I meant for the demon to do my bidding to me. “You are now under my control. Now, show me the pleasures that you have shown so many dark magic users in times before!”

“If you insist, I suppose I have no choice,” the voice said.
