A smiley face followed the note. I huffed out a laugh, but he was right. It would be convenient to put all my notes about who he was in one place, especially one that was as small and portable as this. Jotting them down on whatever was in front of me would guarantee that something got lost over time.

Reaching over to my nightstand, I grabbed a pen and clicked it open. Before I even picked up the letter again, I wrote the items in my memory down on the second page of the notebook, leaving the first with only his words.

After I finished, I leaned down and grabbed the note, starting it from where I left off.

I hope you like them all. Just a few things I found that reminded me of you. I will say, so you don’t think I’m a huge stalker, that I found the book on your (public) Amazon wish list. I saw it there the other day and tracked it down at that independent bookstore over on 5th Avenue. The canvas, well… that’s a story for another time.

The candle and the notebook were from the bookstore too. They jumped out at me and I had to get them. Don’t think too much into it… I mean, I hope it’s okay that I got you some gifts. I just saw them and when I got the book and thought you would like them.

So, for your clues today… if you haven’t already seen, well, then you’ll find them. They’re in there. I’ll be waiting patiently for when you do. No rush.
