And I would be a fool not to accept the proposal of a man like Mr. Simpson. He will be a good husband to me and a fine father for the children I hope I will have. What more could I ask? Surely love will come with time. I have been told so often enough. Even Mr. Simpson tells me it is so. I do very much want to believe him.
