Morris walked into his bedroom and stopped. Jade sat on the stool in front of her mirrored dressing table. Her face was ashen white.

“What’s wrong, angel?”

Morris smiled too. It wasn’t ideal, but he could see how happy she was. He loved his wife and if a baby made her happy, then he was happy too.

“I love you my angel and I’ll love this baby too, even if it’s not my child.”

Jade sobbed and clung to him. “Oh Morris, I’m so lucky to have you. You’re my rock.”

Morris wrapped his arms around his tearful wife.

It would be OK. They could tell everyone Jade had used a sperm donor. Nobody would ever know her baby was fathered by two black bulls.
