Harry concentrated with all his strength as he carefully studied each photograph looking for some recognition of the blue car he kept seeing in his mind. He clutched Beth’s small crystal in his right hand and felt the stone throb against his warm skin. ‘Come on, Beth, give me something here, what kind of car was it? I need a number plate or make of car, come on, girl, let me see it,’ he said to himself.

He flipped back and forth between two images, and suddenly he had a clear vision in his mind of the second image which showed a Ford Cortina with a second image flashing a series of letters and numbers. ‘Shit!’ Harry shouted, ‘I’ve got it.’ He ran from the room gripping the photograph and headed to the intelligence room. George was stood at the wall studying every piece of evidence now written up next to the girl’s photographs. ‘I’ve got it, George,’ Harry shouted as he ran into the room. George turned around fast, and Harry handed him the photograph, ‘It’s a brand new Ford Cortina George, and what’s even better is I’ve got some of the bastard’s number plate!’

The two men grabbed each other’s arms and bounced up and down in front of a group of stunned uninformed onlookers. George quickly wrote up the make and model of the car on the wall and ordered two police officers to get to work on checking all owners of Ford Cortinas over the past few years. Meanwhile, more bodies were gathering in the large room ready for the meeting to recap on the day’s further investigations.
