Bryn woke up, completely disoriented. This wasn’t her bed, and she honestly couldn’t remember the last time she’d woken up beside someone, so what the hell was going on? Then the memories came back in a rush. She was in Tommy’s room. He’d spanked and her and then fucked her until she saw stars. How long had she been out?

While she had been thinking, she’d kept her eyes closed and tried to keep her breathing even while she worked out what was going on, but now she opened them. It was dark outside, and she stiffened. Oh god, that meant it had been at least several hours. Her brain froze, and she couldn’t figure out what her next step needed to be. This absolutely should not have happened. Shit, she was in so much trouble. If her boss ever found out… she shuddered just thinking about it.

Every fiber of her being screamed at her to ease out of bed and escape, but she couldn’t. He had information from the investigation and possibly a way to find out more. She had to wait for him to wake up and give it to her. Tommy must have sensed the change in her body, because she felt him stir.

“Mmm,” he hummed in her ear.

Oh, how she wanted to relax back into his arms. They’d been together twice now, and both times had been amazing. Letting go and having him take the lead was intoxicating in the best way. Peaceful was rarely a way she could describe her head, but with Tommy, it happened more often. Every single time they spent time together, she was more relaxed. The closer they got, the better she felt. It was both delightful and infuriating because she knew she could never hold onto him, or what they had together long-term.

Suddenly, Tommy seemed to realize something was off as well because he jerked. Bryn rolled over in his arms and his eyes were wide.

“Bryn, shit. I’m sorry I—”

“It’s fine,” she said, her voice even. “But we should probably get up and see if Liesel has anything for us now.”

Tommy unwrapped his arms from around her and Bryn didn’t like that one bit, but she made herself roll away from him and slide out of bed. Crap, her bag was down in the locker room. All she had were her gym clothes.

Behind her, she heard Tommy speaking. “Yes, Truss, please go down to the locker room and get the bag of clothes there and deliver it to my room. Thank you.” He didn’t wait for a reply but hung up.

“Why don’t you get in the shower. Your bag should be here by the time you get out. I’ll order us some food and call Liesel to see if she has any updates.”

Bryn hesitated. She wanted to hear what Liesel had to say herself, but she also didn’t want to hang out naked in Tommy’s room. Deciding she trusted him enough to give her all the information, Bryn headed through the doorway as Tommy pointed toward to get a shower.
