CHAPTER 5

Dynasty, Julian, and Valentina left the church their heads in turmoil. They headed straight for Cassandrea’s apartment.

Jay had already arrived and was seated on the sofa holding his sister’s hand. Cassandrea just sat looking dazed.

“What was all that about Cassandrea?” asked Dynasty gently as she came and sat next to her friend.

Cassandrea shook her head.

“I realized that I was walking inside a bubble all this time and that bubble popped this morning at the church and I fell back into the real world,” said Cassandrea.

“I don’t understand what you are saying,” said Valentina.

Cassandrea smiled. “You will understand Val,” she said.

The doorbell resounded and Jay answered it.

“Is Cassandrea at home?” asked a lady standing at the door with a little boy.

“Yes she is and may I know who you are please?” asked Jay.

“I am Celina Moral,” she said.

Cassandrea heard Celina’s voice and walked toward the door.

“Thank you, Celina, for making me see reality,” said Cassandrea.

“Remember Cassandrea that you got yourself out of a deep rut. I will be filing a court case against Michael Scott demanding alimony for Rob and me,” said Celina pointing to the little boy who hid behind his mother his thumb in his mouth.

Celina did not stay long but left almost immediately.

“What was all that about?” asked Valentina.

“That was Celina Moral and the little boy with her is Michael’s son,” said Cassandrea.

Dynasty and Valentina both gasped at once.

“Goodness me Cassandrea, why didn’t you tell us about all this?” asked Valentina.

Dynasty looked at Julian and saw that he was in shock.

Julian walked slowly toward Cassandrea and held her by the shoulders.

“You Cassandrea Latavia are one lucky girl in this world. Remember that,” was all Julian said.

One week after the episode of the unfinished wedding. The tabloids screamed abuses at Cassandrea. “Wedding Planner’s Planned Escape,” “Who would hire a Runaway Wedding Planner?” Cassandrea could have screamed when she read the tabloids, but Dynasty, Valentina, and Jay were always there to support her.

“These will die a natural death soon,” said Jay.

Cassandrea was offered employment again at Fashion Unlimited and she embraced it with enthusiasm. It was a place she had learned the ropes and an office she loved very much. No one looked at her accusingly, as everyone in the office knew what had happened and they told her she had had a narrow escape.

But what Cassandrea was upset about was that her new business was dwindling with no customers at all. No one would touch her with a bargepole with regard to planning their wedding.

Cassandrea sat in her cabin sketching a new design for Cherry Blossoms when Dynasty walked in.

“Hi, Cass and how are you today?” asked Dynasty brightly.

Cassandrea smiled at her friend. “I am fine Dynasty,” she said slowly.

“Listen I came over to hire you as my wedding planner,” said Dynasty.

“Hire me?” asked Cassandrea astonished.

“Yes, you. Aren’t you a wedding planner?” asked Dynasty.

Cassandrea nodded slowly, but the sadness that engulfed her face was heart rendering.

“I don’t think I could do it Dynasty,” she said.

“What nonsense are you talking? You can do it.
