Chapter 4

The next day was unforgettable.

Andrea woke up in Silvano’s arms, so satisfied he could have purred. Silvano started to make love to him when he had not yet opened his eyes, kissing along his spine and stroking his left side, which for some strange reason seemed the most sensitive. It was early morning, and Andrea had to go to work. They took a shower together, and then they went out walking, heading for the tattoo studio, stopping for breakfast along the way.

Silvano took his hand, walking along the riverside, and Andrea was happy. It was nice to finally have someone. He got by alone, but it was nice to have someone on his side. Problems seemed halved when someone held his hand while he walked and moved his hair behind his ear when they talked. Andrea had always been ready to give himself totally all the times he was in love. But he had never met the same dedication in his other partners. The other times, his desire to be in love with love itself was always greater. But Silvano finally reciprocated his feelings.

As soon as they entered the tattoo studio together, Simone came forward and threw his arms around him. “You’re alive!” He exclaimed. “No Turkish prince has kidnapped you!”

“Yes,” he said, patting gently on Simone’s back. “I’m sorry. I just screwed up.”

“You make him work too much,” Silvano said, frowning. “He is too stressed. He cannot work ten hours a day six days a week.”

“I know, I know,” Simone said, leaving him. He seemed really worried. “I will try to move all your appointments for you to have a few days off. I’ll ask the permission of the Council. I think it’ll go well for them, as long as you manage to finish the snake. Are you going to work on it today?”

“Yes,” Andrea said. “But without rushing. I want it to be fantastic.” He wrapped an arm around Silvano’s waist and kissed him, there in the crowded hall. Some of the reception guys clapped their hands at them.

“I see the two of you are very well together,” Simone said. “I will give the news to Greta.”

“So, she’s your girlfriend?” Andrea asked.

“Yes,” Simone said, blushing. “But I think she’s my boyfriend and I’m her girlfriend, or something like that, and this is a bit confusing. But I don’t care. She’s funny.”

“She is,” Andrea said.

“Why don’t you guys come to the restaurant tonight?” Silvano said. “I could give a little party for Andrea. He’s coming to stay at my house.”

“Wow,” Simone said, his eyes widened. “You really want to jump the gun, right? You met on Monday. Today is Friday, and you are going to live together!”

“I know it’s soon,” Silvano said. “But with that fool prince around I had to insist.”

“I’ll ask Greta, but we will for sure,” Simone said. “Need help with the move? We can do that.”

“Not at all,” Andrea said. “I just have to fill a gym bag. I have very few things.”

“I am so happy,” Simone said.
