CHAPTER 12
LICKED HAND
When I get home, Iâm still excited about my latest masterpiece. Stabbing someone to death is really invigorating. Nothing in the world is more pleasant! I love to watch the life fade from their eyes.
I canât wait until morning, to finally see my work properly spotlighted in the news! I just hope they donât invent another stupid nickname for me. I think Iâve done enough to at least deserve that much.
###
I barely sleep, and as soon as I wake up I turn on the TV. I donât want to run the risk of missing any news broadcasts. I know that her friend would have gotten up and come upon Connieâs fate by now. Oh my! I âd really like to be there.
A few minutes after the roommate wakes, the entire campus will certainly be in an uproar. And the press will be there right away, and those stupid detectives will no longer be able to hide my art from the world.
I really wish I could be there! But Iâll have to accept seeing it on TV.
###
As Iâd foreseen, my art was soon featured on all the channels.
âThe Perpetrator of Bloody Legendsâ strikes again. Really? âPerpetrator of Bloody Legendsâ? I honestly donât understand how they come up with these stupid nicknames.
But at least now, even with that ridiculous nickname, Iâm finally being recognized. Now everyone knows that thereâs only one artist creating all these artworks.
###
I admit Iâm pleased to see those two fabulous detectives evading questions. They thought they could hide my talent. Assholes! Theyâll have to deal with the publicity now.
###
Tomorrow Iâll start thinking about my next masterpiece. Today Iâll just enjoy my day off and spend my time watching the news.
Oh, I really wish I could choose my own stage name!
###
Itâs amazing how most of these urban legends involve stabbing. Iâd never noticed that before. Not that Iâm complaining â far from it! This just gives me more pleasure. Itâs only an observation.
Today Iâm thinking that if my Elisa hadnât insinuated herself into my art, it might have been better. I just hope that she doesnât sully the perfection of my other works. After all, it happened so fast, and I had to leave the rock there. I donât know why I did that legend!
###
I start to jog in parks, to seek out women who are walking their dogs. I follow them to evaluate the feasibility of implementing the next legend. How to enter the womanâs home, if she lives alone, things like that.
Finally, after a few days, I find a good one. I watch her for a while, and she proves to be perfect. She must be between 60 and 70, and she lives alone in a one-story house that looks easy to get into without being seen, and her dog is a small Yorkshire.
###
Phase One done. Now I need to figure out how to kill the damn dog without allowing the old bitch to realize it ahead of time.
I also need to worry about the dog licking me.
