Chapter 3

I thought Jason wouldn’t be able to make my wife go lower than she had on that day, with his friends and the poker game, but it didn’t take me long to realize how wrong I was.

What happened with Graham, Carlos and James was just a prelude to what came later.

That day, Suzy could have let herself get taken by what was going on, and became unwilling or unable to fight against Jason’s will.

I was deluding myself; I understood that, but it seemed possible at the time.

Her reaction to Jason’s proposal a few days later let me realize just how much he had warped her.

“What?” I asked when he finished outlaying his idea.

He turned to me with a raised eyebrow. “I don’t see what’s so hard to understand. I know a rich guy that’s going to be in town and wants a girl to entertain him; I just want to know if Suzy’s willing to do it.”

I swear I was about to explode and attack him. I could almost forgive him for what happened during the card game, but this was too much.

“How much?”

Suzy’s words froze my anger and I just looked at her, disbelieving. She couldn’t possibly be considering his offer, could she? One look into her eyes let me realize she was.

It wasn’t about the money.

We both had stable jobs and got paid quite a bit. I think that hurt more than if it had been about the cash.

The reason why Suzy was considering Jason’s proposal was lust. The idea of whoring herself appealed to my wife; it got her wet.

That was the moment I realized what I feared had happened, and despair took hold of my features. My innocent, sometimes prudish, wife had fallen completely in Jason’s claws and I could do nothing to save her.

The other man saw the same thing I did, and he grinned. “Oh, he’ll pay good enough you’ll see. He’ll like you.”

My wife grinned and I looked down in despair.

“I’ll need your house though; he’s one of those traditional types and I’m sure he’ll prefer to sleep in a welcoming home rather than in a hotel. Less risk that way as well.”

“No,” I surged to my feet, protesting against Jason for once. “I won’t let you turn our home into a whorehouse.”

“That’s alright,” Suzy answered him, cutting my feet from beneath me. She looked me in the eyes and I found myself wilting. “I’ll be sure to clean the place up.”

Jason smirked. “Then I’ll make the arrangements.”

My wife smiled and grabbed his hand, and before I could say anything she pulled the Jason into our room. After a bit, moans and groans could be heard from inside.

I remained frozen on the coach, with my head in my hands, not believing the hell my life had turned into.

It only took a couple of days for Jason to arrange things.
