“Ohhh,” she groaned, wrapping her arms around – what was his name? Brendon? – her lover’s broad back, curling her nails into his flesh. “Ohhh, Brendon, you feel so good.”

“Brandon, babe,” he murmured, his hot lips teasing her nipple, his tongue liquefying every limb in her body.

Shit. Well, at least she was close and didn’t confuse him with Chris or Mark or John.

“Ohh, I just can’t think straight when you touch me, baby,” she crooned.

“Good,” he grinned, large hands leaving trails of fire across her skin.

He wasn’t the smartest but he was toned, attractive, and excellent at fucking. Who needed intellect in bed? He wasn’t fucking her brain. She just wanted company and someone to keep her warm and satisfied, and Brandon was on her roster of men that was quite capable of that. Plus, when she’d first brought him home and Damien hadn’t shown up, he stayed until the next morning and even made her breakfast. She’d since invited him back a few times, enjoying the company.

She couldn’t sit around wrapped in cold sheets waiting forever for someone like Damien who couldn’t bother to show up. Though maybe it was better this way. She did feel guilty each time she brought him a victim, depriving the world of yet another virile specimen of a man. And Brandon certainly was handsome.

She was so focused on Brandon’s hot tongue massaging below her ear that she missed the smoke spilling into the room through the cracks in her sliding glass door. She gasped when she saw a face standing above them on the bed.

“What?” her date blinked dumbly before looking up, flinching. “Whoa! Dude, who are you?”

“I could ask you the same thing,” Damien said coolly, his eyes betraying his ire. She wanted to roll her eyes. Was he really jealous? For an immortal demon, he sure acted like a petulant child. She was just supposed to sit around waiting for him for weeks?

“You didn’t tell me you had a- a… roommate,” Brandon blinked, looking up at the vampire. “Hey, dude, are you an albino?” She closed her eyes, afraid that the vampire would pounce and the light would be snuffed out of Brandon’s eyes then and there.

“You might say that.” His thin lips drew into a faint smile. “Please, don’t let me interrupt,” he leered, stalking over to the chair in the corner. “Keep going.”

“Wh- That’s a little rude, man,” her dumb lover interjected.

“Ignore him.” She grabbed Brandon’s face, bringing it back to hers even as she felt Damien’s gaze bearing into her. But let it. Fuck him. He wasn’t the only dick out there and he could watch another man pleasure her just as well as he did if that’s what he really wanted.

It was almost too bad that this would end with Damien drinking from Brandon’s cold body. She pressed one of her hands to his chest, feeling the reassuring, steady beat of his pulse against her palm, trying not to be too upset thinking about the inevitable. She could tell him to leave, but Damien was faster and stronger.
