Chapter Five

The following morning, Olive woke to the shrill ringing of a phone.

“What is that?” she asked sleepily.

“Cell-phone,” Trent mumbled.

She sat up half way to look around the room, and then plopped back on her pillow when the noise stopped.

“Thank god,” she said.

He pulled her into his arms and kissed the top of her head before the ringing started again. She grabbed a pillow and used it to cover her ears.

“Bad phone,” she said. “Make it stop.”

Trent sat up, grabbed his cane and surveyed the room. The phone started ringing again.

“Where are my pants?” he grumbled.

“Bathroom,” she yelled from under the pillow.

She heard him walk into the bathroom and pull the annoying device out of his pants right before it started ringing again. He hobbled back to the bed, checked the caller ID and answered it on the fifth ring.

“What?” he barked to the person on the other end. “Yes, everything is fine...Yes, I’m sure…No, I’m not…Because I’m spending the day with Olive…Yes, she is…Yes…Okay, hold on.”

He handed her the phone.

“It’s Travis. Go easy on him,” Trent said, “he wants to make sure you’re okay.”

“Hello?” she said into the phone.

“Hi Olive, its Travis, Bree’s husband. How are you today?”

“Well, I’d be better if you hadn’t woken us up,” she said, and Trent smiled and kissed her shoulder, “but otherwise I’m fabulous.”

Trent pulled the sheet off her naked body and kissed her soft stomach. She vaguely realized she didn’t flinch when he’d exposed her. How could she when he seemed to worship her every curve?

“And you stayed the night with Trent?” he asked.

“Yes, I did. Travis, do you make it a habit of phoning all of your brother’s conquests the morning after?”

“I’m sure you know my brother hasn’t had a conquest in four years,” he said.

“You’re right and I’m sorry,” she said, all teasing aside. “Everything went great and we are getting married. I’m supposed to have lunch with Bree later, can you, Tyler and Dawn join us?”

“Good girl,” Trent whispered before he sucked one of her nipples into his mouth.

“That would be great. What time did you girls plan to go?”

“Um…eleven-thirty,” she sighed into the phone.

“That’s in an hour,” Travis said.

Trent switched to her other nipple and she gasped.

“We’d better make it twelve-thirty,” she breathed as Trent dragged his teeth over the sensitive flesh.

“That sounds great, where—”

“Trent will call you back,” she said and hung up the phone.

He laughed as he moved down her body and kissed her mound.

“That wasn’t nice,” she said as he swiped his tongue over her clit. “You need to call your brother.”

“Okay,” he said and reached for the phone.

She beat him and pushed it off the bed.

“Later. First, finish what you started.”

“My pleasure, sweetheart.”

An hour later, she rummaged through her suitcase as Trent called his brothers and decided on a place for lunch. They’d both showered, but he needed to stop at his house and change before their lunch date.

When they walked into his home, the mutilated wall had been hard to miss.

“Oh my god, what happened? Did someone break in?”

“No, I did that,” he admitted.
