Rob shot him a dirty look, and attempting to regain his dignity, bent back over the couch.

"Twenty more, El. Give it to him good!" Jim teased.

"I think those first two shouldn't count," suggested Maggie.

Rob's head shot up to glare at his wife, but Elena's restraining hand on his shoulder pressed him firmly downward.

"I agree!" said Jim. "Start over from the first one!"

Rob's objections were overruled three to one, and he grumbled and protested his way through twenty-two stinging smacks, delivered by Elena with surprising relish.
