All hell was breaking loose up in my condo. Cool rushed me and I barely had time to pull up my shorts. Breanna was cowering in the corner, trying to hide her naked body from her son. Neither of us really wanted to swing on the other so we just wrestled around like two little kids after they watched WWE. Mike must have wondered what was taking his brother so long because he came in and pried us apart. Once we were finally separated, Mike noticed his mother in the corner crying. He looked back at me and I could see the disappointment and anger in his eyes.

“WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON? WHY IS SHE HERE?” Mike was trying his best to keep calm but his nostrils were flaring and I noticed his fist were balled up. I knew if he decided to swing, it was gonna get ugly so I tried my best to diffuse the situation.

“Look, you and Cool need to chill the fuck out.” I grabbed the comforter from my bed and walked over and draped it over Breanna as I spoke. “Your mother is a grown woman, she knows what she’s doing. We ran into each other last night and one thing led to another. We never meant for this to happen or for you two to find out. I know it doesn’t look right but we’re actually feeling one another. You know I would never do anything to her hurt or you. You guys are my family, but this thing just happened, and to be honest, I think it could actually lead to something!”

Breanna looked up and smiled when I said that, I could tell she was relieved. I wasn’t expecting to share my feeling this soon, but the situation called for it. Mike seemed to somewhat understand but Cool still wasn’t haven’t it. “Ma, get ya shit and let’s go!” he ordered.

“Chill C, she ain’t gotta go nowhere. This is my house, if anyone’s gonna leave, it’s you!” I was pissed and ready to bang. Mike stepped in between us so me and Calvin just glared at one another. Breanna stood up and walked out the room. When she came back, she was completely dressed and ready to go. She wouldn’t look at me nor did she say goodbye. She motioned for both of her sons to go and they all left. I collapsed on my bed with my face in the palm of my hands. I replayed every minute of the previous 24 hours that led up to that point. I fell asleep, hoping to reunite with Breanna in my dreams was she was M.I.A.
