Chapter Eight
Many nights had passed as they waited for Linwë to heal and be well enough to go on with the quest. Not having seen scale or face of Hellfire they started to worry about him and wondered where he had vanished. Knowing that he was in good hands with his father and mother the worry did not end until she saw him with her own two eyes. On the fourth night he appeared and told them the dreams had started to become worse and more troublesome, it was hard for him to hide the fact from his father and the fact that he was not sleeping well showed in his eyes as they drooped. The dawn of the fifth day they packed up and Vladimir was more than happy to give them some supplies that they had lost in the storm many nights ago.
The six of them set out once again as the sun just rising in the east as they climbed onto the backs of their horses, to ride off. Dew Drop had given them the honor of staying with them to help them further on the quest. Knowing the forest well enough to go through and keep them away from the many beast and things that lived there. The help she gave them in finding fresh water and berries and such to eat. She was an amazing asset to the group and they would have been lost without her, seeing as they lost their map many nights before.
The group was still very uneasy as they headed out, the gifts and powers she was given had not showed their ugly heads in some time. It worried her that she might end up killing one of the groups because she could not control her gifts. She was wishing that she would soon learn to use them, though it was impossible to take any time to learn about them with being in and out of camps. The only one that seemed to be able to help her with them was Linwë and at times Firebeard when he was speaking to her. He was still upset about her telling him that he had been rude to Vladimir.
âHellfire, are you alright to keep moving tonight? It has been a long day and we have not really stopped moving for at least a day or two. I am sure that we could rest for a while.â
âNo, Linwë, I am alright to keep going, the dreams keep me awake anyways. We should rest though seeing as you and the others are about to fall off your horses.â
âI will check ahead for a good site, Dew Drop, would you like to accompany me?â
âThanks, Linwë, I would love too. There should be a good spot not far from here.â
She flew over to her shoulder and stood there, the glitter from her wings floating behind her. It amazed Nimigona that she stuck with them this long and the fact that they had been the ones to open her heart up to admit she had done something wrong.
