It wasn’t unheard of to have unseasonably warm weather in November here in Arizona, but a Thanksgiving over eighty degrees seemed unnatural. Still, everyone at the clubhouse was in high spirits. With everyone’s family all here in town, they all decided to have a giant celebration here. Miss Luci, Mama B, and Calista ran that kitchen like drill sergeants. For the last two days, if any of the three of them needed something, we all moved heaven and earth to get it for them.

Arrow had been a bastard since he didn’t want his old lady on her feet with the twins in her belly, but she put him in his place and the rest of the brothers tried our best not to laugh where he could see us. We all couldn’t wait to feast.

As we drove to the clubhouse, I could tell Ash was nervous. The decision to tell everyone about us at dinner still made him anxious. Knowing he had his family’s backing didn’t help as much as Lyric and I thought it would. We hoped it would all go smoothly today, but we couldn’t see the future.
