Who do you think Jesus is? What is it that he did? If you diminish Jesus, he will just be there in history as a grand figure who stands along with many other great prophets and religious leaders. But once you see and acknowledge who he is, you realize you are not finished with him because he has promised to come again. He will come back and he will stand on the last day as Judge of the living and the dead. Do you see the danger of diminishing, distorting and perverting who Jesus is? You might be tempted to think that you have done away with him but, make no mistake about it, he will return.

Many will hear Jesus say on the last day, ‘I never knew you; depart from me you evildoers’ (Matt. 7:23). You dare not dismiss this God. I challenge those who have been deceived into believing in the Jesus presented by a world religion or a cult — you have been duped if you have fallen for a Jesus you think you will not have to meet face to face. Do not lose everything, even your eternal life, by thinking that Jesus is anyone other than who the Scriptures say he is.
