Chapter Fifteen

At least Isaac didn't show up in anymore of my classes or dreams that week. The news of Katie's visit had perked me up and I was feeling more like my old self. Lukas continued to walk me to class each morning and I was glad that Isaac's attempt at scaring him off had failed.

On Friday night, me and Lukas made our way over to his place. Dan was hosting a poker night and Lukas wanted to be there to keep an eye on the flat. I didn't blame him after hearing about some of the things Dan got up to when he was drunk. Lucy and some other people that I knew were going too and I was looking forward to seeing their flat for the first time.

When I walked into the living room, I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't the unclean, smelly flat that I had expected. It was modern and clean and I had a feeling that this was down to Lukas, not Dan. It had a black and white colour scheme with wooden floors. The walls were painted white with all black furniture, including two comfy looking leather sofas. They were currently occupied by Lucy and some of her friends who I recognised from the football game. Lukas gave me a quick tour of the rest of the house, saving his bedroom until last.

"I think you need a bigger bed" I said whilst grinning at the king size in the middle of the room.

He laughed, "Don't worry, we can both fit in it."

"To sleep?" I asked.

"Of course."

I looked around, it was very minimalistic. No books, no photographs, no socks on the floor, nothing. It had fitted wardrobes with a matching desk and a flat screen attached to the wall but that was it.

I perched on the edge of his bed, "I like it."

"Well I like you" he said as he sat down next to me. I grinned and rested my hand on his thigh. He slowly moved my hair to one side before leaning down and peppering my neck with kisses. I closed my eyes and gripped his leg tighter.

"Does this mean that the wait is over?" I asked.

"Huh?" he murmured against my skin.

My hand travelled higher up his leg and he moaned at my touch. I suddenly wished that we were the only two people home. "You said that you were making me wait because I made you wait."

He positioned me so that I was straddling him. "We've both waited long enough" he said.

I nodded, suddenly aware of how heavy my breathing was. He kissed me hard and fast and I pressed my weight down on him, forcing his body to press against mine. I moaned in his mouth and when the kiss became more intense, I forced myself to pull away. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, trying to compose myself. I stood up slowly.

"Um...poker...outside..."

He laughed, "That was your good luck kiss."

I grinned, "Well in that case, I need another one.
