There was a sweet liquid running out of my mouth, and I ran my hand across my lips to wipe away the tickling sensation. A strand from a nearby flower had been feeding its sugary nourishment into my mouth, and I had to admit, it was delicious.

Still on my back, I realized it was dark. I was surrounded by a wall of flowers, encased within a small prison of thick stalks. I doubted anything could get into my little concealed area either, so I suppose it depended on how I chose to look at it – I was trapped in or everything else was prevented from getting in to me.

I moved to sit up and was more than a little stunned to find that my stomach had swollen to the size of a basketball. I nearly vomited as I realized I was pregnant with the flower’s...whatever the hell they were.

As much as I tried not to panic, it was impossible to not hyperventilate as a million thoughts ran through my head. What was going to happen to me? What would the flowers do with me? Was I going to become nourishment for the flower’s offspring?

A familiar voice sounded, and I felt my emotions receding into calmness. “Relax, Sidney. You need not be fearful. Has this species not given you more pleasure than your fragile mind could handle? You seemed to enjoy their touches and caresses on your body.

“In twelve hours, you will give birth to this species’ seedlings, continuing their lifecycle for hundreds of years. It is not in their interest to hurt you; in fact, they will care for your every physical need. You are protected by the contract we hold with them. Now rest, Sidney. You will need your strength for later.”

Damn the grays! They had obviously been watching me, but how? Were there cameras somewhere in the fucking flowers for god’s sake? How... again my delicate human brain relented, and I drifted off to sleep once again.
