Aladdin looked at the beautiful, selfless man in front of him. He had never known a man with more nobility.

“Then I have a plan,” Aladdin concluded.

Prince Eric, standing on the magic carpet, slowly lowered himself into the hole in the top of the mountain toward the dragon that aggressively paced its den. Drawing on the courage that Aladdin showed him, he stood tall and strong each time attempting to lock onto the dragon's eyes as it turned around. When the creature finally saw the prince it froze.

“You remember me don't you?" Eric asked the dragon. "And now you're wondering what this is that I am standing on. Well, why don't you find out?”

The dragon's eyes tightened as it crouched.

“Hold on carpet?” Eric whispered.

The dragon waited for what Eric would do next, and when it saw the carpet start its retreat, the dragon attacked. Shaking the ground with mighty beats of its wings, it took flight. Ascending with increasing speed, Eric sat. And as he shot out of the mouth of the mountain, he took hold of the tapestry for safety.

Building speed as he ascended, the dragon eyed the mouth of the mountain. With it getting closer and nothing the beast could do to stop itself, the tip of its head poked out. As the first of its neck exited the hole, Aladdin, taking a running leap, threw himself onto the unsuspecting beast.

Landing on the creature's neck, Aladdin took hold of one of its thick spikes. Examining where he had landed, it was further than he had wanted. He was hoping to land near its head, but the dragon had exited too quickly and instead he was closer to its back. This meant that Aladdin was now going to have to climb.

The dragon, feeling the weight on its neck, had to make a decision. It knew that it could either shake Aladdin or attack Eric. And drawn to the man that flew through its domain, it chose poorly.

Craning its neck back, it let out a breath of fire that shot through the air toward the carpet.

“Carpet, dip right,” the prince commanded before he and the carpet turned escaping the flame.

Eric's journey toward the ground led to the dragon's sudden downward turn. And Aladdin, not expecting the sudden change in direction, felt his feet rush passed his head pulling his grip free. Falling past the spikes leading to the dragon's head, it wasn't until Eric looked up and yelled, “Up carpet,” that the dragon followed and Aladdin felt his hands latch onto the last spike on the dragon's neck.

The beast craned its head back again and let spew a stream of flames. Eric and the carpet dipped right and returned directly in line with the dragon not requiring the beast to readjust. And with a secure grip around the upmost spike with his leg, Aladdin pushed his hands onto the base of the creature's skull. Finding the spot where the flesh stopped covering bone, he knew he found it.

Reaching back, Aladdin withdrew his saber.
