Emma showed up in New York four days later. She was towing a trailer with all her essential personal things, which meant her plants. Emma had a green thumb and could grow anything. That’s why Sage started putting plants on the rooftop yesterday. Emma had to have a garden. She has been growing plants since she was a child, it relaxed her and made her feel needed. Sage was so happy, she danced around the apartment with Emma, she grabbed Thor and hugged him and planted a big kiss on his nose.

“I can’t wait to work with you, you’re going to make a great agent. Have you talked to Skye lately?”

“No, she still won’t answer my calls. I called and left her a voice mail and told her I moved here with you. I told her to make her way up here and be with her sisters, who love her. I feel bad about yelling at her.”

“I hope she listens to your message. We’ll just keep trying to get in touch with her. That’s all we can do.”

“So tell me about our hot boss? Does he have a woman, or is he single?”

“I kissed him, and I know I want him. I don’t want to admit this out loud, but I’m so in love with him, and I mean deeply in love. What I felt for Eric is nothing compared to what I feel for Wyatt. But he’s off-limits as long as we work together.”

“Why?”

“It’s a stupid rule he made for everyone who works in his district. He almost broke the rule when I kissed him. I thought for sure he was going to take me right there in his office. I prayed he would. But the damn phone rang, and he stepped away.”

Emma was rolling on the floor, laughing. She could picture the whole thing in her mind, and see the frustration on Sage’s face. “This is going to be so much fun watching you two together. I’ll bet the fireworks fly all over the place.”

“I know my body is sizzling whenever he’s near. And Wyatt’s so grumpy I think he feels like I do.”

“Why don’t you just go into his office, lock the door, and start taking your clothes off? I’m sure he would get over his grumpiness,” she teased. “Seriously, though, do you think he’s your one and only?”

“I know he is.”

“Then, either he gets rid of his rule, or you quit your job. Now, let's go check out our garden.”

Thor beat them up the steps to the roof. “I put a seating area up there a few months ago, but it’s so big. We can add more places with comfy seating, even a couch for naps,” Sage was feeling nervous for Emma to see what she’d done.

Emma stopped and looked at the rooftop, it was perfect, she would start carrying her plants up. She looked over at Sage, chewing on her thumbnail. “It’s beautiful. I love the different color seating you’ve put here. Were these some
