“Don’t you mean studying Spanish, ‘darling’?” he hissed.

He took a step toward the door, but I jumped in his way. Considering the difference in our size, he could get by me easily if he wanted to. But he would have to actually push me away.

“What were you doing while you were away?” I asked. “I don’t think it’s too much to ask for you to tell me. I’m your mate. You need to open up to me.”
