"I understand that," she said quietly. "I'm not sure I can help though. Only you can decide where we go from here."

"I know," she said a little glumly. "I love you, and I love Gavin, and I want you both in my life. It's the only thing I do know for certain. What happened here," she said looking around her room as if seeing it for the first time, "was more than a dream come true for me, but was it enough for you? Enough for Gavin? Are you happy to share or am I going to lose you both because I want too much?"

"Trace," Lee said "you won't lose me, not ever. Even if we go back to being friends and pretend this never happened, I'll always be in your life."

Tears blurred Tracey's vision as she absorbed the words. What did she ever do to deserve such love, such devotion? She decided then and there to spend the rest of her life making sure that she deserved the happiness both Lee and Gavin were offering. She hugged Lee's athletic frame closer as she considered their unknown future.

Lee reached up to catch the tear that fell silently down Tracey's cheek.

"It's okay, baby. We'll find a way to make it work."
