“Achoo!” Tania sneezed loudly, while wrapped in a blanket.

A concerned Girgantia turned away from the bathtub that he was filling with water and asked worriedly, “Are you okay? Shall I bring you more blankets?”

“No, it’s fine,” Tania replied, sniffling.

After Ricardo was beaten within an inch of his life, she grabbed and shook him by the feet until the mage released the spell on her. As a result, Tania was left with chills covering her whole body. However, that wasn’t the only reason she needed a bath.

On top of having the grizzlies’ feeding trough emptied over her, she’d also been dumped onto the floor, resulting in her rolling through all sorts of filth. Not to mention all the scratches she’d received when she struggled against the spell. “Ugh, the smell…” Tania groaned. A soak in warm water followed by rest really seemed like a welcome idea.

While Tania watched the dragon preparing the bath, she thought, I wonder what happened to those two? Girgantia had shown no mercy to Ricardo and Lania. After promptly subduing the two mages, he shoved them ruthlessly into the bear pen, and then quickly whisked Tania back to her room.

Once the tub was filled to some extent, the dragon moved to leave the bathroom. After Tania heard the door close behind him, she rose from her seat and dropped the blanket. “Brrr, it’s cold,” she said, shivering. After a quick rinse to wash the dirt from her hair and body, she quickly lowered herself into the bathtub. A content sigh slipped from her lips as the warm water enveloped her. As her shivers subsided, Tania felt the tension in her body loosen and she started to feel at ease.

Speaking of… What should I do? Tania’s worries would’ve resolved themselves if she’d left Girgantia to his own devices, regardless of whether he chose to follow Lania or not. She wasn’t sure what had impelled her to offer up what she did in an attempt to keep him here. Besides, putting that aside, she was befuddled by what the dragon was thinking too. Why would he choose a kiss over great wealth and all the chicken that he liked so much?

As she pondered over the events of the evening, Tania let her body slip down further until her face was submerged in the water. Blowing bubbles, she recalled the words she had spat out in the heat of the moment. Now that she had the time to think it over, she could feel the blood rising to her face. Why did I say such a thing? she screamed inwardly. And more importantly, why did Girgantia fall for it?

Just then, Tania heard the bathroom door creak open. Shocked, she raised her head out of the water. Hadn’t he left? However, Tania couldn’t bring herself to turn her head because she could hear Girgantia undressing. W-w-wait! W-w-why is he unclothing?

Tania tried to calm her frenzied mind… in vain, of course. While she had admittedly acted to stop Girgantia leaving, she didn’t
