Chapter Eight

Dloben nearly trembled with anticipation as he nodded while pushing forward. Even as he tried to peer at Basques’s face to gauge his response, he found his focus riveted to where his flared crown pushed against the slicked, stretched ring. His wide head caused the muscle to spread, and between one heartbeat and the next, his cock disappeared inside the vampire’s body.

The squeeze that clamped onto his dick’s head yanked a whine from his throat. At the same time, his balls rolled, threatening to tighten. He sucked in a harsh breath as he froze, trying to stem his need to come.

Dloben gasped as Basques’s hot, tight channel swallowed him to the root. With a cry, he lost his balance and flopped over the vampire’s broad, muscled torso. His hips jerked, pulling his cock partway out only to shove it back in deep.

Easing his teeth free, Dloben lapped at the wound. His teeth marks were deep, and between knowing his mate had come from his bite along with seeing his mark on the vampire, a surge of smug satisfaction filled him. Dloben cleaned up the remaining blood, sealing the wound.

“That’ll leave a pretty scar,” Dloben commented absently.

“Yes, it will.” Basques used a finger under Dloben’s chin to get him to lift his head enough to meet his gaze. The vampire’s deep blue eyes danced with mirth and... something else. Satisfaction. “Like that, don’t you?”

Dloben nodded, pride filling him.

Basques dipped his head and placed a kiss on his lips. “Me, too.” Waggling his brows, he told him, “Loved how that felt. You can bite me anytime.”

Grinning widely, Dloben nodded. “Okay.”

“And now,” Basques lowered his legs as he gently massaged Dloben’s neck.
